NOAH: The Piano Player
Feb 10, 2010
This is one long video but watch how our baby Noah is trying to press the piano keys. Of course, he still can’t play a song but Joshua and I are just too happy with what he can do now. Kyoot! =)

A Bride after God’s Own Heart

Two of my very dear friends at church are getting married. Claire will be tying the knot with my cousin Christian this November while my best friend Tonet will finally approaching the altar with Patrick Tan. Having been a bride myself more than 21 months ago (how times flies so fast!), I know that they are all stressed out by now.
Claire and Christian only have less than two months to prepare while Net and Pat still have four months. I could feel the excitement of the two pairs but I know they are exhausted at this stage seeing their tweets and hearing their stories. Compared to me and Josh, they fairly have a lot of time to prepare financially, mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. I understand that the brides especially, are the ones feeling too stressed out because it’s their biggest day. The wedding has always been a special dream for any woman and soon enough, it’s happening.
Josh and I only had two months to prepare but we were able to pull it off. Thanks, of course, to family, friends, and the wedding coordinator who helped us. It was stressful alright, but not too much because we already had planned the day’s details: from the motif, theme, to the invitations, venue, the cake, and etc. What the coordinator just needed to do was to execute the plans and add some of his magic.
I still could not believe how we were able to do it in less than two months. Josh proposed on October. We always wanted a December 8 wedding but it was impossible so we moved it to the next month. We only started with the actual preps by late November.
It really is amazing to look back at how your wedding turned but it’s one thing to be reminded of the stress. My advice to the brides? Just relax. It may be a challenge to follow but you don’t need to be too stressed out come your wedding day. You don’t want to get sick, do you?
Because I was thinking a lot about the wedding, I got sick three weeks before the wedding date but that worked to my advantage for I lost weight. Haha!
How I wish I could spend more time with the two brides and offer them my help but I’m very, very pregnant now. The least I could do is pray for them and offer words of wisdom.
Really, the wedding isn’t about the bride unlike most people say. Sure, people would expect the bride to be the center of attention during that special but it should be more about God. You don’t just invite people to see how grand the wedding is and how much money you’ve spent, how good you are at planning, how unique your wedding is, how delicious the food is, how expensive the wedding rings are, or how elegant your bridal gown will be, it is for God to be glorified.
More than the praises and congratulations you will receive from the guests, God deserves to be blessed and lifted high. The wedding isn’t just a party but it’s an opportunity for you to share to the guests the love God has planted in your hearts. It’s a time for the couple to share to their friends and families the testimony of their love for each other and faith in God. To let them know that God is the One who gives life to the bride and groom as individuals and as one.
So to my dear girlfriends, Net and Claire, congratulations! I pray that you become the wives God wants you to be. Our marriages will be very different from each other but one thing is for sure, God will always be at the center. Relax. Stay beautiful. Let God be blessed, be loved, and be lifted high not only in your weddings but in your marriage as well. Girls, this is it!
