Fix Your Eyes on Jesus
Shift your eyes away from Jesus and it’ll cost you.
Taking the matter into your own hands will not make a situation better. It’ll just make it worse bringing you more reason to be depressed. However, there will be times that disobedience can bring happiness. But would that be considered true joy if the Father in heaven is upset?
Moses for example, was a man who for many times, disobeyed God blatantly because He focused more on the people. He was too busy leading them to the Promise Land and making them change their unruly behavior that he lost focus on God.
And like Moses, there will be times that us Christians focus more on the ‘ministry’ and the ‘people’ rather than the Cause. If we concentrate on the people, there will never be answers to questions or fulfillment to the promise. People will leave. People will just fail you…they will just continue to disobey and neglect your ministry.
When people disappoint, look to God. Focus your eyes on the one true God because by doing that, you become more like Him. That is, loving, forgiving, gracious, long-suffering, and righteous.
When a person sins, never concentrate on the sin but rather on what God wants to do in that person’s life. Ask what you can do to help that person turn their eyes once more on Jesus. You’ll be amazed by the power that the Lord will give you to help that certain friend, if only your heart is pure and forgiving.
