Jana(not her real name) is a close friend of mine. Before we got into college, she was looking for cna schools because she wanted to become a nurse. She finally entered one, studied very hard, underwent cna training, and passed all the cna courses. She was a good student so she graduated with flying colors. I was expecting she’d work abroad just like what hundreds of thousands of my countrymen are doing .But no, she chose to stay.

Jana is a licensed nurse but right now, she’s working her way up the corporate ladder as a customer service agent. Not that I have something against her decision, it’s just that I know she could do better as a nurse. But then again, it’s her life. Maybe this is just a phase that she has to go through. And as a friend, maybe I should make her realize once more her calling in life— to become a nurse.(or atleast that was what she’s always told me). I remember her telling me she wanted to go on a mission as a nurse. So yeah, I’m gonna remind her for once that she’s called to be a nurse. But right now, I have to wait and see how she does in this new mission field of her, that is, a call center.
