How To Beat The Rainy Day Blues
I never liked singing “Rain Rain Go Away” because ever since I was a kid, I enjoy the rain. When I was younger, I remember always tugging my parents and my siblings to play outside. More often than not, they would allow me only if it wasn’t raining so hard.
And now that I’m older, I smile whenever there’s rain falling outside…and sometimes inside our house. Teehee. It only means one thing—I can enjoy the luxury of just staying in to spend some time with myself and with my family. What better way enjoy this season than curl up, read a good book, and eat champorado? I’m such a home buddy so I find more delight in the simpler things in life.
My bed is my bestfriend come rain or shine. My blanket too becomes a buddy lest I wanna freeze to death. And then I grab something to preferably a Psalm, a children’s book, or a Kinsella. After some 50 pages or so, I head to kitchen for a hot champarodo prepared by lola.
Raindy day blues?! I only have a few because I try to enjoy the rain and the cool wind it brings.Save for the hassle of getting drenched when I’m outside while in my office or gimik clothes, rainy days are oh so fine with me. ![]()
