On Our Own
We’re almost finished with moving our stuff to our new apartment. After almost three months of seemingly endless packing, loading, and unpacking, we’re done. Husband and I are all set to live on our own sans. It’s just a small apartment unit , a 5-minute walk from where I used to live and only a 30-minute drive to where husband works. I stay home but most of the time, I go to my parents’ house to stay there for lunch and dinner. It’s as if nothing has changed. I still see my parents and brother everyday. This time only, I go home to a place my love and I call our own.
Someday, we plan on getting a house on our own. Pay the monthly mortgage, decorate it, and start our own happy family. It’s a far possibility for now. We’ve got so many things to do, so many things to pay for, and so many places to go to. That’s the plan: save money to travel, save some more, and have a baby. But sometimes I doubt if we’ll ever get to save what with my shopping habits lately. It’s the (dis)advantage of having no mortgage to pay, just the rent, that I have more shopping money more than ever. ![]()
